It’s the most wonderful time of the year particularly for threat actors who use the hustle and bustle of the holiday season to try and trick you into falling for their scams.

A popular method used by threat actors to target their victims is through phishing. It just takes a simple click of a legitimate-looking email or text to be sent to a strange website with a pop-up message stating your Wi-Fi connected holiday lights have been taken over by a hacker (not always so simple).

Here are some basic cyber tips you can follow to stay cyber safe during the holidays:
